Mascola, CPO, CPM Manager <br />Division of Purchasing <br />SUBJ: IRC BID #91-7/Pest Control Services <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On request from the Buildings & Grounds Division, the subject bid <br />was properly advertised and Twelve (12) Invitations to Bid were <br />sent out. On September 12, 1990, bids were received with Two (2) <br />vendors submitting proposals for the commodity. <br />RATTT V0T0. <br />Staff has reviewed the submittal to ascertain adherence to specifi- <br />cations. Massey Service, Inc was the low bidder and met all require- <br />ments. <br />10MITITMI'_ . <br />Monies for this project will come from Budget Buildings & Grounds <br />Accounts for Other Contractural Services. Funds available $9,000.00. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the Award of an Open End Contract to Massey Services, <br />Inc., with an estimated value of $5,000.00 per year. Also, authorize <br />the Purchasing Manager to renew the Contract subject to satisfactory <br />performance, zero cost increase, vendor acceptance, and determination <br />that renewal is in*the best interest of the County. The initial <br />contrdct period shall begin on the date of award. <br />Administrator Chandler informed the Board that he found out <br />just yesterday that there was a problem on notification to <br />bidders, and he would like authorization to reject all bids and <br />rebid. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Wheeler, Commissioner Bird being absent, the <br />Board unanimously (4-0), rejected all bids received on <br />Bid #91-7 for Pest Control Services and authorized staff <br />to rebid same. <br />11 Baur 8 1 F,, JE 720 T <br />
