UW -90 -03 -DS <br />' BACKGROUND <br />On June 12, 1990, the Indian River County Board of County <br />N; Commissioners approved negotiations with the firm of Post, Buckley, <br />Schuh & Jernigan, Inc., for the above -listed project. We have <br />`U`37d completed negotiations on this project (scope of services and <br />.A.,r project cost) and wish to receive Board approval so that we may <br />proceed. <br />.ANALYSIS <br />The project has been divided into two stages, the first being an <br />engineering study, the second is'the actual design and construction. <br />(Sse attached Scope of Services.) <br />The basic fee for the study portion is $34,677.00. This involves a <br />conformation study of the north county portion of the water master <br />plan. This will involve modifications to account for land. zoning <br />changes, population dispersion changes (per the planning <br />department), and presentation of an updated distribution- system <br />model. (See Exhibit A of attached agreement.) Monies for this <br />project will come from Account No. -472-000-169-098.00._.,, <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners. approve the attached contract with <br />Post, Buckley, Schuh & Jernigan, Inc. <br />64 <br />
