SUBGRANT APPLICATION FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY FUNDS --IRC COUNTY <br />TRAFFIC STUDIES EQUIPMENT <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 11/9/90: <br />TO: James E. Chandler, <br />County Administrator <br />.THROUGH: James W. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Directorq� <br />FROM: Michael. S: Dudeck, Jr. P.E., <br />County Traffic Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Subgrant Application for Highway Safety Funds <br />Indian River County Traffic Studies Equipment <br />DATE: November 9, 1990 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Florida Highway Safety Board Reimbursable Grant for Traffic <br />Classifiers ($15,608.00) and Software. <br />Purchase Classifiers using $15,000.00 budgeted for fiscal year <br />90/91 which is not recommended. Approval of Grant request will <br />enable Traffic Engineering to purchase Classifiers at same cost <br />as recent bid and be fully operational by January 1, 1991. <br />It is Staff's recommendation that we accept the Grant, purchase <br />the Classifiers by December 17, 1990, the effective date of the <br />Grant, using budgeted funds of $15,000.00 and be reimbursed with <br />the Florida Highway Safety Board funds. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously accepted <br />the grant and authorized the purchase of the <br />classifiers, as set out in the above staff <br />recommendation. <br />SUBGRANT APPLICATION IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO <br />THE BOARD <br />27 <br />-BOGK E�' <br />
