DEC 41990 <br />a- Suitable protective anti -climb fencing and a landscape <br />planting screening shall be provided and maintained <br />around the structure and accessory attachments. Where <br />the first f ifty (50) feet of a tower is visible to the <br />public, the applicant shall provide one (1) canopy tree <br />(oak, pine, etc.) per three thousand (3,000) square feet <br />of the designated fall radius. The trees shall, be <br />planted in a pattern which will obscure the base area of <br />the tower, without conflicting with the guy wires or tie <br />tower. <br />5. All accessory structures shall be subject to the height <br />restrictions provided in Section 25(a), height. <br />exceptions. <br />6. If more than two hundred twenty (220) voltage is <br />necessary for the operation of the facility and is <br />present in a ground grid or in the tower, signs located <br />every twenty (20) feet and attached to the fence or wall <br />shall display in large bold letters the following: "HIGH <br />VOLTAGE -DANGER." <br />7. No equipment, mobile or immobile, which is not used in <br />direct support of the transmission or relay facility <br />shall be stored or parked on the site unless repairs to <br />the facility are being made. (Applies only on A-1 zoned <br />property.) <br />8. No tower shall be permitted to encroach into or through <br />any established public or private airport approach plan <br />as provided in the airport height limitations of Section <br />25(p)• <br />9. All towers shall submit a conceptual tower lighting plan. <br />Louvers or shields may be required as necessary to keep <br />light from shining down on surrounding properties. <br />Strobe lights must be used unless prohibited by other <br />agencies. <br />10. The reviewing body shall consider the impact of the <br />proposed tower on residential subdivisions near the <br />project site. <br />11. All property owners within six hundred (600) feet of the <br />property boundary shall receive written notice. <br />The project as proposed meets all the requirements of the <br />applicable specific land use criteria. <br />14. Surrounding Land Use and Zoning: <br />North: <br />IL/Vacant <br />South: <br />CL/Vacant, Residence <br />East: <br />IL/Vacant, Residence <br />West: <br />IL/Vacant <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Based on the analysis performed, staff recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners grant special exception approval for a radio <br />transmission tower with the following condition: <br />1.
