Thompson, P.E.-_11� <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: Treasure Shores Park - Phase I <br />Preliminary Site Plan <br />DATE: December 6, 1990 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />During the December 6, 1990 regular meeting of the Parks and <br />Recreation Committee, the. Committee considered the <br />Preliminary Site Plan for Treasure Shores Park as presented <br />by Landscape Architect Bradley A. Smith. The Committee <br />approved the plan with the provision that the following <br />items be considered in the preparation of construction. <br />drawings: <br />1. Provide drop off area near dune walkover so <br />vehicles can stop and unload without obstructing <br />the flow of traffic. <br />2. Consider alternatives to increase security at the <br />northwest corner of the site (eliminate <br />unauthorized foot traffic). <br />3. In one of the future phases, provide pedestrian <br />access near the Phase I entrance road for foot <br />traffic between the oceanfront area and the area <br />west of AlA. ' <br />4. In one of the future phases, provide large <br />pavilion with no tables that will accommodate <br />30-50• people. Facilities that allow groups to <br />bring"in their own tables for birthday parties, <br />wedding receptions, church groups, etc. are in <br />high demand. <br />The design contract for this project requires that the <br />Consultant present the Preliminary Site Plan to the Board <br />for approval. Construction drawings will be prepared based <br />on the approved Preliminary Site Plan. <br />Bradley A.
