M <br />League will comply with whatever the requirements are necessary <br />in holding a carnival on public property. <br />Administrator Chandler noted that staff will work out the <br />details with Mr. Lundy regarding fees, insurance, parking, etc. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board approved the Civic <br />League's request to use a portion of Gifford Park on <br />January 31 -February 3 for the purposes of holding a <br />fund-raising carnival. <br />Chairman Bird commended Mr. Lundy and the Civic League on <br />how well the Gifford Community Center is being maintained and <br />operated. The Center is a huge success, and everyone is to be <br />commended. <br />REPORT ON ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES COUNCIL <br />Commissioner Bowman advised that the Council has a full <br />board, but the County Commission is entitled to two members on <br />that Board. Ann Reuter is now serving from Commissioner Bird's <br />district and Henry Jefferson would come on from her district. <br />Chairman Bird didn't have a problem with appointing Ann <br />Reuter, but he didn't believe she resided in his district. In <br />addition, he had written a letter suggesting that Elder Brown <br />serve from his district. <br />Commissioner Bowman confirmed that Mrs. Reuter is in <br />Chairman Bird's district, and Commissioner Bird advised that he <br />would send a letter to Mr. Brown telling hire the seat has been <br />filled. <br />The Board indicated their agreement to. the appointments of <br />Mrs. Reuter and Mr. Jefferson. <br />STAGGERED _TERMS _FOR _MEMBERS ^OF_ TRANSPORTATION _ DISADVANTAGED_ LOCAL <br />COORDINATING_ BOARD <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 1/17/91: <br />42 BOOK U PACE e��� <br />
