The Chairman opened the Public Hearing. <br />Helene Caseltine, Chamber of Commerce, voiced support for the proposed amendments, <br />which she felt would enhance the County's image as a business -friendly community. <br />There being no additional speakers, the Chairman closed the Public Hearing. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Solari, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wheeler, to approve <br />staff's recommendation. <br />Attorney Polackwich clarified that the amendments to Future Land Use Element Policy <br />1.36 would exclude the Donald S. Beaty property. <br />The Chairman CALLED TIIE QUESTION and the <br />Motion carried unanimously. The Board adopted <br />Ordinance 2010-020, as modified to exclude the Donald <br />S. Beaty property, amending the Comprehensive Plan's <br />Future Land Use Element Policies 1.22 and 1.36, to allow <br />for the expansion of Commercial/Industrial Nodes for <br />large-scale Research/Technology/Industrial Parks and to <br />increase the size and use allowances of the <br />Commercial/Industrial designated property located north <br />of SR 60 and west of 98th Avenue; and providing <br />codification, severability, and effective date. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Vice Chairman Solari, <br />SECONDED by Commissioner Wheeler, to approve <br />Corrigan et al's request to amend the Comprehensive Plan <br />9 <br />October 12, 2010 <br />
