Chandler <br />County Administrator <br />ANTI-DRUG ABUSE GRANT <br />SUBJECT: AGREEMENT REVISIONS <br />FROM: Ranly <br />Assay ooCounty AdministratoPEFERENCES: <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Board, during its September 18, 1990 regular meeting, approved and <br />executed two Anti -Drug Abuse Grant agreements between the County and New <br />Horizons of the Treasure Coast, Inc. New Horizons is providing a Substance <br />Abuse Counseling Program in the Indian River County Jail and an <br />Intervention/ Aftercare Program. These two programs are funded 75% from the <br />Florida Department of Community Affairs ( DCA) and 25% from County <br />revenue. <br />CURRENT <br />The County received a letter from DCA on January 28, 1991 stating- that the <br />two agreements should include an additional paragraph linking the agreements <br />with the grant applications. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board Chairman be authorized to execute the two <br />revised agreements reflecting the required changes. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Chairman to execute the two revised agreements <br />with New Horizons of the Treasure Coast, Inc. as <br />recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENTS ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />7 BOOK. 90 <br />�E9 1991 <br />
