FEB i C-11, a �j Bm 82 F-AU,E 71,Q <br />BACKGROUND <br />The County, in recent years, has purchased property immediately north of <br />the current County Administration Building for the new Health Department <br />Building, additional parking for the County Administration Building, and <br />future uses. The Board has recently purchased Lots 2 and 3, Block 7. <br />County -owned properties are outlined on the attached map. <br />CURRENT <br />The owners of Lot 1, less East 61.8 feet, Block 7 of the Booker T. <br />Washington S/D (1705 27th Street) has offered their property for sale at <br />$11,500. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board Chairman execute the purchase contract for <br />$11,500 and approve budget amendment #027 which includes an additional <br />$1,000 for potential closing costs. Funding for this acquisition would come <br />from Fund 315, optional one -tent sales tax account. <br />Administrator Chandler advised that the budget amendment <br />includes an additional $1,000 for potential closing costs. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously approved <br />staff's recommendation for the approval of purchase <br />contract in the amount of $11,500 and Budget Amendment <br />#027 which includes.an additional $1,000 for potential <br />closing costs. <br />COPY OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK <br />TO THE BOARD <br />TO: :;ambers of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Joseph A.
