VES 19 1991 82 pmu 725 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On January 9, 1991, the Department of Utility Services received <br />fifteen (15) responses to its Response for Letter of Interest to <br />provide engineering services for the above -referenced project. The <br />selection committee reviewed the fifteen (15) responses and selected <br />five (5) firms to be interviewed for the project. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />On February 6, 1991, the selection committee interviewed the five <br />(5) firms and, as a result of the interviews, ranked the firms as <br />follows: <br />1. Professional Engineering Consultants <br />2. Post, Buckley, Schuh, and Jernigan, Inc. <br />3. Masteller and Moler Associates, Inc. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />The Department of 'Utility Services recommends that the Board of <br />County Commissioners authorize the Department of Utility Services to <br />conduct negotiations and to proceed with an agreement with the first <br />choice firm of Professional Engineering Consultants based upon the <br />outcome of the negotiations. The Department also requests approval <br />to proceed with negotiations with the second and/or third selection <br />if negotiations fail. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously authorized <br />Utility Services to conduct negotiations with <br />Professional Engineering Consultants, as set out in the <br />above staff recommendation. <br />PETITION FOR WATER SERVICE ON FLORA LANE - 62ND PLACE <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 2/8/91: <br />DATE: FEBRUARY 8, 1991 <br />TO: JAMES E. We are now coming to <br />the Board of County Commissioners to seek approval to begin design <br />of the above project. <br />28 <br />
