PINTO <br />DIRECT R ESU LITY SERVICES <br />STAFFED AND H. �"D ' O ER, P.E. <br />PREPARED BY: ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: OWNER/ENGINEER CONTRACT <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION <br />INSPECTION OF VARIOUS WATER MAINS AND SUBDIVISION <br />DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS <br />IRC PROJECT NO. UW -91 -02 -DS <br />On January 29, 1991, the Board of County Commissioners authorized <br />the Department of Utility Services to conduct negotiations with the <br />selected firms and to proceed with an agreement based upon <br />negotiations. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Negotiations with Masteller & Moler Associates, Inc., for Phase I of <br />the Water Expansion Plan have been completed, and a "Standard Form <br />of Agreement between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services" <br />has been submitted to the County for approval. Phase I includes <br />transmission mains on 27th Avenue, on 4th Street, and on 5th Street, <br />S.W., and includes water distribution facilities for Indian River <br />Heights, Moreland Subdivision, Clearview Terrace, Bonny Vista Acres, <br />Emerson Villas, and Graves Annex. <br />The estimated lump sum fee for Phase I design services with one <br />prime contractor is $134,750.00. This fee will be adjusted when <br />firm construction costs are known, and shall be based on FmHA <br />44 <br />
