-I <br />BOOK PA E 8 � `U, <br />CURRENT <br />James & William Harshbarger, owners of Lots 4 & 5, Block 44, have signed an <br />Option Agreement to sell their property for $120,000. This price is <br />consistent with the acquisition budget. This property is being acquired <br />according to Chapter 73 F.S. and the Resolution of Condemnation. <br />Therefore, a notice and public hearing are not required. However, the <br />property owners have requested a "like -kind" exchange as an IRS tax benefit <br />to them. The County Attorney's Office has indicated that the County would <br />not incur any expense concerning this request. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Board approve James -and William Harshbarger's Option <br />Agreement and authorize the Board Chairman to execute the agreement and all <br />other necessary related documents. <br />Administrator Chandler explained that the price of $120,000 <br />for acquisition of this property is over appraisal but well within <br />our budget. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved <br />James and William Harshbarger's Option Agreement and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the agreement and all <br />other necessary related documents as recommended by <br />staff. <br />SAID DOCUMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />APPROVAL OF CAPITAL EQUIPMENT PURCHASE - E911 CENTRAL COMMUNICA- <br />TIONS EQUIPMENT <br />The Board reviewed memo from Deputy Director John King dated <br />March 5, 1991: <br />TO: Board of County, Commissioners <br />THROUGH: Doug Wright Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />FROM: John.King, Deputy Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: March 5, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Capital Equipment Purchase - <br />E911 Central Communications Equipment <br />It is respectfully requested that the information contained herein <br />be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners <br />at the next scheduled meeting. <br />10 <br />
