MAR 19 1991 <br />BOOK. 82 F;1Gc 5��5 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />We respectfully request the County Commission to authorize its Chair- <br />man to execute the Award:Agreement for submission to the Department of <br />Community Affairs for this CSBG grant. <br />This program will bring about improvements in safety and sanitation <br />for fourteen (14) homeowners with an average cost of $5,000 per unit. The <br />$6,050 Grant plus $2,697 in cash and in-kind contributions by the Housing <br />Authority will be supplemented with $72,000 in loans and grants from the <br />Farmers Home Administration. <br />This program requires no additional County funds. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the Award <br />Agreement for submission to DCA, as recommended by <br />staff. <br />AWARD AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK <br />TO THE BOARD <br />F. IRC Bid _91`57_- Surplus Sale #1 <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 3/11/91: <br />DATE: March 11, 1991 <br />TO: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />THRU: James E. "Sonny" Dean, Director <br />Department of General Servic <br />FROM: Fran Boynton, Purchasing Manager j/ <br />oeli <br />SUBJ: IRC Bid #91-57/Surplus Sale #1 <br />n w r.v i.n�rrwrr� _ <br />The Utilities Department requests that you surplus and sell the <br />North Beach Plant .500 M.G.D. R.O. train. This train is no longer <br />of any value to the plant since this particular style of membrane <br />isn't available and the upcoming expansion will provide any needed <br />capacity in the foreseeable future. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Staff recommends that authority be granted by the Board of County <br />Commissioners to declare the above surplus and authorize its sale. <br />FUNDING: <br />The monies received from this sale will be returned to the <br />appropriate accounts. <br />RECOMMENDATION• <br />This will be placed on the Surplus Property Sale open to the Public <br />as per State Statutes. <br />6 <br />
