We now find that <br />the same model grader, the Dresser 830, is available on state <br />contract, and we would be buying it from Linder Industrial out of <br />Lakeland as our state contract vendor at $72,485, or the bid <br />price of $78,985 minus $6,500. <br />Commissioner Eggert did not understand why Linder at a bid <br />of $69,621 isn't cheaper. <br />Purchasing Manager Boynton explained that Linder Industrial <br />out of Lakeland is the authorized dealer for the State of <br />Florida, and when you utilize the services of state contract and <br />10 <br />
