Administrator Chandler informed the Board that with the <br />approval of this parcel, we will have acquired options with 8 out <br />of the 13 property owners. <br />Commissioner Eggert commented that she would like the map to <br />indicate the lots that we now own. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Chairman to execute the Option agreement with <br />Patricia Langbehn-Nelson and all other necessary <br />related documents. <br />COPY OF SAID OPTION AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF CLERK <br />TO THE BOARD. <br />F <br />AGREEMENT W/HIGHWAY PATROL RE RADAR UNITS <br />The Board reviewed memo from Doug Wright, Director of the <br />Department of Emergency Services: <br />TO: Board of Count Commissioners <br />FROM: Doug Wright, Director <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />DATE: March 22, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: Approval of Interlocal Agreement with Troop L, <br />Florida Highway Patrol, Relating to Radar Units <br />Purchased by Indian River County (Tabled from <br />Meeting of March 5, 1991) <br />The Board of County Commissioners considered the above agenda item <br />at the regular meeting of March 5, 1991, and tabled the matter <br />until staff could negotiate with the Florida Highway Patrol <br />regarding responsibility for maintenance costs of the radar units. <br />Staff met with FHP officials from Troop L on March 19, 1991, at the <br />Administration Building. The officials agreed that the FHP would <br />fund the maintenance expenses and the modified agreement has been <br />received. <br />The matter is now before the Board for final consideration and <br />staff recommends approval. l <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Chairman to execute Agreement with the Florida <br />Highway Patrol regarding radar units purchased by <br />Indian River County. <br />19 ROOK <br />APR 2 199 <br />
