"SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVY E <br />SUBJECT: PROGRAM CONSTRUCTION MANAGER CONTRACT <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COURTHOUSE PROJECT <br />BACKGROUND: <br />EOOK. 3 FACE <br />26 <br />As authorized by the Board on March 5, 1991, staff has negotiated a <br />contract with Centex Rooney Construction Company to perform Program <br />Construction Manager Services for the Courthouse Project. <br />ANALYSIS: ' <br />In checking, with other counties that have done similar projects, we <br />find that our negotiated contract price is below what anyone else has <br />paid. Total price, which includes' the fee and general conditions <br />totals $885,000.00 or about 6.12% of the estimated contract price. <br />With this price, we have maintained the original scope of services as <br />outlined in the Request for Qualifications. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS• <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached contract and requests <br />authorization for the Chairman to execute the required documents. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- - <br />missioner Eggert, the Board unanimously authorized <br />the Chairman to execute the Program Construction <br />Manager Agreement with Centex Rooney Construction Co., <br />Inc. as recommended by staff. <br />TRANSFER SURPLUS VEHICLE TO RISK MANAGEMENT <br />The Board reviewed memo from Personnel Director Jack Price: <br />. s s . s . s . s . s s s . s . . . . . . s . s . . s . s . s . . . . s . s s . s . s . . . . . . . . . . . . . . s . . s s . . s <br />To: James Chandler,Date: March 22, 1991 <br />County Administrator <br />From: Jack Price,PP onnel Sub.: Automobile/Risk <br />� <br />. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
