SECTION 01010 <br />SUMMARY OF WORK <br />PART I — GENERAL <br />1.01 LOCATION OF WORK <br />A. The work is located within the property line limits of the County's Hobart Water Treatment <br />Plant, Fairgrounds, and Hobart Ball fields as shown on the Contract Drawings. <br />1.02 SCOPE OF WORK <br />A. This project includes the installation of a well pump for each of the six remote supply wells; <br />installation of raw water lines connecting the pumps to the Hobart Water Treatment Plant; and <br />Directional Drilling beneath 58`x' Ave. (Kings Highway) and 77`x' Street. <br />B. Special Requirement: CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for removal of all soils <br />deemed too unsuitable for construction and replace with suitable fill material as necessary <br />for proper construction. <br />1.03 WORK BY OTHERS <br />A. Interference With Work on Roads/Utilities: the CONTRACTOR shall cooperate fully <br />with all utility forces of the OWNER or forces of other public or private agencies <br />engaged in relocation, altering, or otherwise rearranging of any Road/Utility facilities <br />which interfere with the progress of the Work, and shall schedule the Work so as to <br />minimize interference with said relocation, altering, or other rearranging of facilities. <br />CONTRACTOR shall minimize road lane closures and obtain County approval in writing <br />prior to any lane closures. <br />B. Refer to the General Conditions for additional requirements. <br />1.04 WORK SEQUENCE <br />A. Perform Work to ensure completion of the Work within the Contract Time. Completion <br />dates of the various stages shall be in accordance with the approved construction <br />schedule submitted by the CONTRACTOR. The CONTRACTOR shall provide a written <br />plan and schedule in the event he desires to perform work from different stages <br />concurrently. A written plan describing the CONTRACTOR's intent must be submitted <br />for approval by the ENGINEER. <br />1.05 CONTRACTOR's USE OF PREMISES <br />A. CONTRACTOR shall have use of the premises as indicated on the drawings for the <br />performance of the Work, subject to ongoing work by other contractor's and the County. <br />B. Coordinate use of premises with OWNER and ENGINEER. <br />1 1 1 <br />
