F_ <br />MAY 7 'hS91 <br />BOOK <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />approved Dr. Moore Is Option Agreement and authorized <br />the Chairman to execute the agreement and all other <br />necessary related documents. <br />SAID DOCUMENTS ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />APPROVAL OF COUNTY LAND ACQUISITION GUIDE <br />The Board reviewed memo from Environmental Planning Chief <br />Roland DeBlois dated April 26, 1991: <br />�iIt is requested that the data herein be given formal consideration <br />X.-by the Board of County Commissioners at their regular meeting of <br />Ft. May 7, 1991. <br />,DESCRIPTION & CONDITIONS ' <br />'i Conservation Element Policy 6.5 of the County's 's Com <br />rehensive Plan <br />calls <br />for the establishment of a "Land Acquisition Guide," to be <br />;.used as a procedural document by staff and advisory committee <br />members in making recommendations to the Board of County <br />Commissioners regarding "environmentally significant "land <br />acquisition. <br />Further, Policy 6.5 identifies information tobe contained in the <br />Guide, including: factors to assess and prioritize acquisition <br />proposals; a summary of various resource protection methods; and <br />procedures calling for "non -acquisition" options of protection <br />before out -right purchase is utilized. <br />At their regular meeting on March 27, 1991, the County Land <br />Acquisition Advisory Committee (LAAC) approved staff's draft of the <br />Guide with a recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners <br />grant final approval.
