Board of Commissioners <br />June 3, 2013 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners accepts the invitation to serve as the <br />coordinating unit of government in the FDLE Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant <br />(JAG) Program and authorize the Board Chairman to sign the Certificate of Participation naming <br />Jason E. Brown, Director, Management & Budget, as the contact person. Staff also recommends <br />the Board of County Commissioners accepts the total amount of the grant, which is $68,509. <br />Further, staff recommends that the Board direct the Substance Awareness Council Advisory <br />Board to recommend a distribution of these funds among local applicants. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
