1.09 PIPE MARKING <br />A. Pipe marking is included in Division 9, but it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to <br />assist, as required by the Owner, in identifying pipe contents, direction of flow and all else <br />required for proper marking of pipe. <br />1.10 VALVE IDENTIFICATION <br />A. The Contractor shall prepare a valve schedule for all valves required for the work showing <br />a number, the location, type, function, and normal operating position, for each valve. The <br />schedule shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval not less than 30 days prior to <br />start-up. <br />B. The Contractor shall furnish tags for all valves required for the work. Valve tags shall be <br />2 -in diameter, 19 gauge, brass or plastic, with brass hooks suitable for attaching the tag to <br />the valve operator. Tags shall be stamped or etched with the valve number and the <br />information on the valve schedule coded in a system provided by the Owner. Submit two <br />samples of the type of tag proposed and the manufacturer's standard color chart and letter <br />styles to the Engineer for approval. <br />C.
