1. 13 HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS PLAN <br />A. Within 30 days of the date of Notice to Proceed, submit a Hurricane Preparedness Plan to <br />the Engineer and the Owner for approval. The Plan shall describe in detail the necessary <br />measures which the Contractor will perform, at no additional costs to the Owner, in case <br />of a hurricane warning. Revise Plan as required by the Engineer and Owner. <br />1.14 WEATHER PROTECTION <br />A. In the event of inclement weather, the Contractor shall protect the Work and materials <br />from damage or injury from the weather. If, in the opinion of the Owner, any portion of <br />the Work or materials has been damaged by reason of failure on the part of the Contractor <br />to so protect the Work, such Work and materials shall be removed and replaced with new <br />materials and Work to the satisfaction of the Owner. <br />1.15 PROVISIONS FOR CONTROL OF EROSION <br />A. Sufficient precautions shall be taken during construction to minimize the run-off of <br />polluting substances such as silt, clay, fuels, oils, bitumens, calcium chloride, or other <br />polluting materials harmful to humans, fish, or other life, into the supplies and surface <br />waters of the State.
