CHASTAIN--... <br />AND STAFFED MANAGER OF ASSESt T PROJECTS <br />BY: DEPARTMENT OF U LITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: 12TH STREET WATER SERVICE PROJECT <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY PROJECT NO. UW -90 -09 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On August 21, 1990, the Indian River County Board of County <br />;;.:;Commissioners approved Work Authorization 90 W-1 with Masteller and <br />Moler Associates, Inc., to provide water service to <br />substandard -sized properties as required through the Comprehensive <br />.�,'Plan. We are now ready to begin the assessment process associated <br />with this project. <br />ANALYSIS <br />Attached please find Resolutions 1 and 2 for the assessment project. <br />The cost per square foot is $0.0968, and the project will serve the <br />area bordered on the north by 12th Street, on the south by 8th <br />Street, on the west by 43rd Avenue, and on the east by 27th Avenue. <br />Five of the subdivisions in the project, south of 12th Street, have <br />petitioned for water service. The attached map displays the area to <br />,-'11-� from the assessment project. The total cost to be assessed <br />:14,100.31:. <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve the attached resolutions and <br />set the assessment hearing date. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Com- <br />missioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved <br />Resolution 91-59 providing for installation of a <br />waterline on 12th Street as described and Resolu- <br />tion 91-60 setting a time and place for a public <br />hearing. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91- 59 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR INSTALLATION OF <br />A WATERLINE IN THE AREA BORDERED ON THE <br />NORTH BY 12TH STREET, ON THE SOUTH BY STH <br />STREET, ON THE WEST BY 43RD AVENUE, AND <br />ON THE EAST BY 27TH AVENUE; PROVIDING THE <br />TOTAL ESTIMATED COST, METHOD OF PAYMENT <br />OF ASSESSMENTS, NUMBER OF ANNUAL <br />INSTALLMENTS, AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF <br />AREAS SPECIFICALLY SERVED. <br />53 <br />MAY 14 1991 <br />ROOt{�..� <br />
