6. CERTIFICATION, LICENSES AND PERMITS <br /> Vendor must include with his bid a copy of all applicable Certificates of Competency issued by the <br /> State of Florida or the Indian River County and a current Business Tax Receipt for Indian River <br /> County in the name of the vendor shown on the bid proposal page. If awarded contract, vendor will <br /> be required to obtain a Business Tax Receipt for the County. It shall also be the responsibility of the <br /> vendor to submit, prior to commencement of work, any and all permits required to complete this <br /> contractual service at no additional cost to the County. <br /> 7. SUBCONTRACTING <br /> If a vendor subcontracts any portion of a contract for any reason, he must include, in writing, the <br /> name and address of all Minority and Non-Minority subcontractors, their telephone numbers and <br /> extent of work to be performed. This information shall be submitted with bid proposal on the <br /> Schedule of Subcontractors. All Small Business Enterprise subcontractors must be listed on the <br /> Statement of Small Business Subcontractor Participation and this information submitted with bid <br /> proposal. The County reserves the right to reject a bid of any bidder if the bid names a <br /> subcontractor who has previously failed in the proper performance of an award, or failed to deliver <br /> on time contracts of a similar nature, or who is not in a position to perform under this award. The <br /> County reserves the right to inspect all facilities of any subcontractor in order to make a <br /> determination as to the foregoing. <br /> 8. FEDERAL AND STATE TAX <br /> The County is exempt from Federal Tax and State Tax for Tangible Personal Property. The <br /> Procurement Official will sign an exemption certificate submitted by the successful bidder. Vendors <br /> or contractors doing business with the County shall not be exempted from paying sales tax to their <br /> suppliers for materials to fulfill contractual obligations with the County, nor shall any <br /> Vendor/Contractor be authorized to use the County Tax Exemption Number in securing such <br /> materials. <br /> I 9.
