Chapter 4 <br />Public Involvements <br />This chapter presents the results of several activities undertaken during the TDP Update process <br />to obtain public input on the County's transit system. As integral component of the TDP Update <br />process, public involvement was an ongoing TDP activity. Throughout the TDP Update process, <br />several methods of public participation were implemented to obtain a broad based perspective <br />from a diverse group of stakeholders. The following sections provide information about <br />community transportation needs and issues identified through the following public involvement <br />activities: <br />• Onboard survey of GoLine customers <br />• Mai back survey of Community Coach paratransit service customers <br />• One-on-one interviews with community leaders and major stakeholders <br />• Employee survey of Senior Resource Association members <br />• Five public workshops held at various locations in the County <br />The comments, questions, and feedback received from each of the above mentioned activities are <br />summarized below. <br />4.1 GoLine Customer Survey <br />As a means to obtain input from GoLine users on quality of service, onboard surveys were <br />administered to customers riding GoLine fixed -route services. In order to collect a representative <br />sample of GoLine routes, onboard surveys were conducted on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, <br />from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The purpose of the surveys was to collect detailed information about <br />customer demographic characteristics and travel activity, and solicit input from customers <br />regarding their level of satisfaction with various aspects of GoLine's fixed -route service. <br />4-1 <br />tt Stanley Consultants <br />
