Van Fleet Water Production Facility Improvements BVP 13-196 <br /> the Contractor. The Contractor will restore to original condition those portions of the site not designated <br /> for alteration by the Contract Documents. <br /> ARTICLE 8—OTHER WORK <br /> 8.1 The County may perform additional work related to the Project with its own forces or may use <br /> other contracts for the execution of additional work. The Contractor shall provide the other contractors <br /> who are parties to such contracts, including but not limited to, the other contractor's employees, agents, <br /> subcontractors and suppliers (or the County's forces performing the additional work), reasonable <br /> opportunity for the introduction and storage of material and equipment and the execution of work, and <br /> shall properly connect and coordinate its work with theirs. The Contractor shall do all cutting, fitting and <br /> patching of the Work that may be required to make its several parts come together properly and integrate <br /> with such other work. The Contractor shall not endanger any work of others by cutting, excavating or <br /> otherwise altering their work and will only cut or alter their work with the written consent of the <br /> Professional and the others whose work will be affected. The Contractor is not entitled to exclusive use <br /> of the site. <br /> 8.1.1 If any part of the Contractor's work depends (for proper execution or results) upon the work of <br /> any other contractor (or the County), the Contractor will inspect and promptly report to the Professional <br /> in writing any defects or deficiencies in the work that renders it unsuitable for the proper execution and <br /> results. The Contractor's failure to report shall constitute an acceptance of the other work, except as to <br /> defects and deficiencies which may appear in the other work after the execution of its work. <br /> ARTICLE 9—COUNTY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 9.1 Except as otherwise provided in these General Conditions, the County shall issue all <br /> communications to the Contractor through the Professional. The Professional may be a consultant acting <br /> as an agent of the County or they may be County staff,or both, at the discretion of the County. <br /> 9.1.1 The County shall furnish the data required under the Contract Documents and shall make <br /> payments to the Contractor when due as provided in Article 15. <br /> 9.1.2 The County's responsibilities for providing lands,easements and engineering surveys to establish <br /> reference points are set forth in Article 5. <br /> ARTICLE 10—PROFESSIONAL'S STATUS DURING CONSTRUCTION <br /> 10.1 County's Representative <br /> 10.1.1 The Professional shall be a representative of the County during the construction period. The <br /> duties, responsibilities and limitations of authority of the Professional as the County's representative <br /> during construction are set forth in these General Conditions.0.2 Visits to the Site <br /> 10.2.1 The Professional shall make periodic visits to the site to observe the progress and quality of the <br /> executed Work and to determine, in general, if the Work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 10.3 Clarifications and Interpretations <br /> 10.3.1 The Professional shall issue such written clarifications or interpretations of the Contract <br /> Documents (in the form of Drawings or otherwise) as may be determined necessary, or as reasonably <br /> 75 <br />
