} <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> DESIGNATING THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 2013, AS <br /> NATIONAL ADOPTION AWARENESS MONTH <br /> WHEREAS, for more than a century, Children's Home Society of Florida has upheld <br /> our legacy of transforming the lives of children and families; and <br /> WHEREAS, on any given day approximately 125-175 children are awaiting adoptions <br /> on the Treasure Coast and in the last three years over 350 children have been given the gift of <br /> forever families; and <br /> WHEREAS, Children's Home Society of Florida, Treasure Coast Division, works <br /> diligently with the Department of Children & Families to ensure that every child has a forever <br /> family; and <br /> WHEREAS, children waiting for adoptive parents and families who have adopted these <br /> children require and deserve community and agency support; and <br /> WHEREAS, Children's Home Society of Florida, along with its community partners, <br /> embraces opportunities that can potentially change the way society cares for children and youth. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS, INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the month of November 2013, <br /> be designated as <br /> NATIONAL ADOPTION AWARENESS MONTH <br /> in Indian River County.
