ADDITIONAL WORK: <br /> In the original Work Order No. 4, Geosyntec was authorized to prepare design and construction <br /> drawings to make enhancements to improve drainage of the new access road to the top of the <br /> landfill. On December 8, 2012, the Board authorized Work Order No. 6 to Geosyntec which <br /> included a task for construction support services for these drainage enhancements and <br /> anticipated utilizing the Board approved contingency funds to have Comanco install a Flexmat <br /> drainage feature along the road. A bid was requested from Comanco; however, it exceeded the <br /> engineer's estimate. Staff is requesting the Board to keep the contingency funds available in order <br /> to complete this work in a timely manner under a separate authorization. <br /> ACCOUNT INFORMATION: <br /> Funding for the Landfill Segment 3 Cell 1 Phase 2 lateral expansion project is budgeted and <br /> available in the SWDD landfill account WIP number which is funded from SWDD assessments and <br /> user fees. <br /> DESCRIPTION ACCOUNT NO. AMOUNT <br /> Phase 2 Cell 1 Segment 3 Landfill Expansion Project 411-169000-10009 $240,648.74 <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> SWDD staff recommends its Board approve the following: <br /> 1. The final payment including the release of retainage to Comanco Environmental Corporation <br /> in the amount of $240,648.74 for the Phase 2 construction of Cell 1 of Segment 3 <br /> Expansion in accordance with Bid No. 2012025. <br /> 2.
