WISEMEN, P.E.JJ <br />ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER <br />DEPARTMENT OF UTILITY SERVICES <br />SUBJECT: RADIO TELEMETRY SYSTEM FOR LIFT STATION <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY RFQ NO. 91-56 <br />On May 14, 1991, the Board of County Commissioners approved to award <br />the bid for the SCADA system to Data Flow Systems, Inc. (see <br />attachment). The contract between Indian River County and Data Flow <br />Systems, Inc., has been drawn and prepared by the staff and agreed <br />upon by the authorized corporation representative. <br />ANALYSIS: <br />The attached contract describes the initial purchase and <br />installation of a complete radio telemetry system (SCADA). It <br />includes central site equipment, station data, FCC radio license <br />with 2 RTUs, and performance and payment bonds based on the lump sum <br />price of $41,060.00, as approved. For the future purchase of the <br />unit and spare parts, the staff has arranged a protection price <br />program for the County, as is explained in the attached signed <br />letter, dated June 8, 1991 (Exhibit B). <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The staff of the Department of Utility Services recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners approve this contract and authorize <br />the Chairman to issue the Notice to Proceed to the Contractor. <br />28 <br />
