U6 11f)? <br />BOOK 83 P,j6E <br />ORDINANCE 91- U <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />CREATING THE GLENDALE LAKES STREET <br />LIGHTING DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS, the residents of Glendale Lakes Subdivision have <br />requested that the County establish a mechanism for providing street <br />lighting service at crucial locations throughout the subdivision; <br />WHEREAS, the Board finds that. the creation of a municipal <br />service benefit unit to raise funds through the equitable assessment of <br />property owners throughout the subdivision is the best available means <br />of accomplishing the desired goal; and <br />WHEREAS, the provision of street lighting in the area will further <br />the safety, health and well-being of all those residing and owning <br />property within the boundaries of the district, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, that: <br />SECTION 1. Creation of Municipal Service Benefit Unit. <br />There is hereby established in Indian River County the Glendale <br />Lakes Municipal Service Benefit Unit under the authority of, and with <br />all those powers conferred by, the Constitution of the State of Florida, <br />Sections 125.01(q) and 125.01(r) of the Florida Statutes and Chapter <br />200 of the Indian River County Code County. The real property <br />included within the boundaries of this municipal service benefit unit is <br />described as follows: <br />Glendale Lakes as shown on the plat recorded in <br />Plat Book 6, Page 26, of the Public Records of <br />Indian River County, Florida and Glendale Lakes <br />Subdivision Unit Two as shown on the plat recorded <br />in Plat Book 9, Page 90, of the Public Records of <br />Indian River County, Florida. <br />All lying in Indian River County, Florida. <br />SECTION 2 LEVY. <br />The first non -ad valorem assessment shall be levied for the tax <br />year 1992 - 1993. <br />SECTION 3. CHAPTER 200 AMENDMENT. <br />Section 200.07 shall be amended to show., the addition of the <br />"Glendale Lakes" district and this ordinance number. <br />26 <br />
