US -91 -21 -CS <br />BACKGROUND <br />On January 29, 1991, the Board of County Commissioners approved an <br />agreement between Indian River County and the Indian River County <br />School Board for utility service connections for the <br />above -referenced schools. The status of the items in the agreement <br />were covered in an agenda item for school water service brought to <br />.the Board on August 12, 1991 (see attached). <br />`"The staff is now ready to proceed with in-house design for the sewer <br />lift station and force main, which will be extended from an existing <br />main at Chesser's Gap on C.R. 512 to the intersection of C.R. 510 <br />and C.R. 512. -- <br />ANALYSIS <br />The staff's preliminary estimated construction cost is $300,000.00; <br />a preliminary cost breakdown is presented below: <br />1. 13,200 LF of 8" pipe @ $15.00/LF $198,000.00 <br />2. Lift Station and associated on-site 80,000.00 <br />piping <br />3. 2 canal crossings 16,000.00 <br />Subtotal: $294,000.00 <br />10% Contingency: 2.940.00 <br />Total: $296,940.00 <br />Use for Budgetary Purposes: $300,000.00 <br />.This project will be funded -from the impact -fees paid by the School <br />Board, which total $122,848.00, with the remainder coming from the <br />(Utility Department's impact fee fund, which will be recouped as <br />,other customers connect and pay their impact fees. <br />The line sizes have been adapted from the Wastewater Master Plan and <br />are in line with the flows that will be generated from the C.R. 512 <br />land I-95 area. <br />44 <br />
