In <br />plenary and workshop sessions, these individuals will share their <br />considerable experience and knowledge on such topics as the history <br />and demographics of gangs in this country, the impact of <br />yougangs <br />on public safety and the criminal justice system; methods for <br />identifying and documenting the existence of gangs and gang -related <br />activity; and prevention, enforcement, and correctional strategies <br />'for controlling youth gangs and violent juvenile crime. <br />Some 250 policymakers, legislators, and criminal justice officials <br />from all levels of government, as well as educators, social services <br />providers, private sector business executives, and community service <br />organization representatives are expected to attend this "invitation <br />only" event, which will be held .in Bally's Reno Resort... <br />Conference registrations will be accepted on a first come, first <br />served basis.
