UW -91 -31 -DS <br />BACKGROUND <br />A petition has been received for a water main extension for 41st <br />Court to supply potable water to its residents. We are now coming <br />to the Board of County Commissioners to seek approval, to begin <br />design of the above project. (See attached petition and plat map.) <br />ANALYSIS <br />The 7rab <br />division contains 16 lots owned by 16 owners. One of they <br />Mutting on 1st Street, SW is already on County water. The <br />remaining 15 shall benefit from this project. The 10 property <br />owners signing the petition represent 66.67% of the properties to b <br />served. The petition was picked up September 10, 1991 and returned <br />September 23, 1991. .Several owners were not readily available to <br />sign due to being out of town or simply hesitant. <br />All of the lots in this project are one-half acre. According to <br />Indian River County's Comprehensive Plan and the County Public <br />Health Unit, Division of Environmental Health, new lots utilizing <br />well and septic systems must be a minimum of one-half acre -in size. <br />Lots not meeting these minimum standards are called 'undersized <br />lots." <br />The attached map displays the area to benefit from the assessment <br />project. <br />ME <br />
