Shawn McAllister, president and executive director of the <br />Society, presented their request for a letter of support from the <br />County Commission which would be used as a support document in <br />applying for various grant applications. <br />Commissioner Eggert stated for the record that the grant <br />applicati-on states•that this money has to be used only for*this <br />theatre and cannot be used for anything else. <br />Mr. McAllister confirmed that to be correct. They have been <br />notified by the State that the application has been rejected and <br />are in the process of applying for an acquisition and planning <br />grant through the State of about $20,000. After that, they will <br />apply for a $250,000 grant through the federal government, which <br />is a non-matching grant.
