O'Brien - Assistant County Attorneyep� <br />DATE: October 7, 1991 <br />RE: PUBLIC HEARING OCTOBER 229 1991 - <br />ESTABLISHING A GENERAL LIEN PROVISION <br />From time to time the County takes remedial action to assure compliance <br />with the Indian River County Code._ This sometimes results in <br />expenditure of public funds. In order to assure, to the extent <br />E' practicable, that the County is reimbursed, lien procedures should be <br />established. pp <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached proposed ordinance. <br />Attorney Vitunac requested that the wording "unless other <br />notice has already been provided" be added at the end of <br />paragraph (b) in Section 1. He felt this should help us get <br />money whenever the County has to spend money to fix property. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 91-45, establishing a general lien provision <br />- when county funds are expended to bring about <br />conformity with the Indian River County Code. <br />20 <br />
