"SONNY" DEAN, DIRECTOR <br />DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVI <br />,SUBJECT: INDIAN RIVER COUNTY COURTHOUSE PROJECT <br />PURCHASE OF VERO PRINTING PROPERTY <br />BACKGROUND: <br />i;The subject property is located in Block 45, on lot 12 and east 75, <br />Of lots 13 and 14 in downtown Vero Beach. This block is the site of <br />the new courthouse. <br />Staff has negotiated a total price of $458,157.00 for this parcel, <br />-broken down as follows: <br />Property $275,000.00 <br />Moving Expenses 168 157.00 <br />Legal Expense 15,000.00 <br />ANALYSIS: <br />Cost of the property is the high appraised value that was submitted <br />;last year. Although actual moving cost were higher, the owner has <br />;agreed on the above figure. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />'Staff recommends purchase of the property at $458,157.00 and requests <br />authorization to proceed with the transaction.
