MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Eggert, that the Board approve the <br />purchase agreement in the amount of $458,157, authorize <br />staff to proceed with the transaction, and authorize <br />the Chairman to execute the applicable documents. <br />Under discussion, Administrator Chandler advised that a <br />couple of details need to be cleaned up before closing. These <br />are items we got into with the attorney for the property owner <br />after we had submitted the purchase item to the Commission. <br />Basically, staff is recommending approval of the following items <br />that are in addition to what has been presented previously to the <br />Commission, with an additional cost of $6,500-$6,800: <br />1) That the County pick up the cost of the documentary <br />stamps. <br />2) That the County pick up the taxes from May 14, 1991, <br />when the property was vacated. <br />3) That the County pay $3,126 in impact fees which the <br />property owner had to pay going to into a new facility, <br />since the County will receive credit from the City in <br />terms of those impact fees on the property for the <br />courthouse it is developed. <br />COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK ADDED APPROVAL OF THE <br />ADDITIONAL THREE ITEMS TO HIS MOTION.
