Y <br />;Biomedical Equipment Services Agreement with Physio -Control to <br />repair and maintain the Lifepac equipment on board the emergency <br />(transport vehicles of Advanced Life Support. The contract expires <br />f on November 8, 1991, and staff requests the Board authorize renewal <br />of the agreement. <br />!The prior contract was for $9,960.00 during FY 90-91. The new' <br />,,contract is for $13,428.00 or a $3,468 increase. This increase is <br />'predicated on the increased age of the equipment and the additional <br />f two lifepac 101s added in this fiscal year. The county now has 10 <br />;,monitors and defibrillators, ten battery support systems;,seven <br />»external pacemakers and three lifepak 109s with external pacers. <br />A total of $16,000 was budgeted in FY 91-92 to fund the technical <br />Services Agreement with Physio -Control. <br />,ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS: <br />:Physio -Control .is'the manufacturer of the lifep4Lk series of cardiac . <br />monitors and defibrillators. -The sales and service force from <br />Physio -Control are direct, manufacturer representatives. .,.Physio - <br />Control Technical Services is the only.company authorized repair <br />'function in the State of Florida and is the single or sole source <br />for parts, repairs and/or maintenance on this equipment. <br />50 <br />
