Nov Z16 <br />199 <br />ROOK <br />F �E <br />i <br />WHEREAS... <br />the firefighters in that district are represented <br />by <br />Vero <br />Beach Firefighters Association, Local 2201, IAFF; and <br />WHEREAS, the emergency medical services personnel have petitioned to <br />be represented in a union by the same Vero Beach Firefighters Association; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Florida Public Employees Relations Commission <br />recognition -acknowledgment petition has been served on the County and <br />requires that the County state its intention regarding the organization <br />petition; and <br />WHEREAS, after consideration of the petition, the County feels that an <br />objection would not be warranted, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Indian River <br />County recognizes the Vero Beach Firefighters Association, Local 2201, <br />IAFF, as the collective bargaining representative for *the employees of the <br />Division of Emergency Medical Services who are to be included within the <br />union, pursuant to the petition. <br />The resolution was moved for adoption by Commissioner Eggert , <br />and the motion was seconded by Commissioner R n w m a n , and, upon being <br />put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Chairman Richard N. Bird Aye <br />Vice Chairman Gary C. Wheeler Aye <br />Commissioner Don C. Scurlock, Jr. Aye <br />Commissioner Margaret C. Bowman Aye <br />Commissioner Carolyn K.
