Eggert <br />Chairman REFERENCES: <br />Affordable Housing Advisory Committee <br />At our meeting on December 12, 1991, status reports were <br />presented by the Housing Finance Subcommittee and the Housing <br />Planning Subcommittee. Copies are attached. <br />The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee would like to proceed <br />with a draft ordinance for the Housing Finance Authority <br />outlining- guidelines :for its, -operational - powers.— Suggestions <br />will also be made for appointment of members. When ready, this <br />will be brought back to the County Commission. <br />Resolutions should be developed for the Housing Trust Fund and <br />brought to.the Commission. <br />The recommendations for the small lot subdivision should be <br />further studied and criteria established for review. <br />The use of Accessory Dwelling Units should be further studied and <br />specific recommendations made on revisions of the _County's Land <br />Development Regulations. <br />Please approve these recommendations. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Eggert, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />approved County staff to study, make <br />recommendations, establish criteria and prepare <br />appropriate resolutions for Board approval to <br />proceed toward our comprehensive plan requirements, <br />as requested by the Affordable Housing Advisory <br />Committee. <br />LAND ACQUISITION ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP <br />Commissioner Scurlock recounted the formation and purpose of <br />the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee (LAAO). There are 14 <br />members whose backgrounds are diverse and they work toward helping <br />Indian River County meet our comprehensive plan requirements as <br />well as provide additional land in Indian River County for the <br />future. They research and prioritize a list of properties and <br />Possible funding mechanisms. Commissioner Scurlock reported he had <br />received a letter from John Morrison pointing out that persons <br />listed on the letterhead of Indian River Land Trust as Board of <br />Directors were also on the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee. <br />Mr. Morrison felt this was improper and Possibly—a violation of <br />Florida's Sunshine Law.
