Jim Granse, 36 Pine Arbor Lane, spoke in favor of the program <br />because it will be a combined effort of family, school, police, <br />churches, and other community groups working together for primary <br />prevention of substance abuse. <br />Commissioner Wheeler emphasized that there is no funding by <br />Indian River County, just a letter in support of the application <br />for a grant for the program. <br />COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK SECONDED the above Motion. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried 3-1, Commissioner Bird <br />being absent and Commissioner Bowman voting in <br />opposition. <br />There being no further business, on Motion duly made, seconded <br />and carried, the Board adjourned at 11:22 o'clock A.
