The County will purchase all irrigation materials. <br />The County is Purchase Order Exempt, therefore taxes are not <br />included in the material prices. The Contractor is <br />- responsible for ordering and handling all materials, the <br />cost of which is included under irrigation equipment <br />installation. <br />The total project cost adding $188,009.55 for concrete cart <br />paths to the $ 1,997,253.29 total is $ 2,185,262.84. The <br />total award amount deducting $ 239,528.72 for Rainbird <br />materials from the total project cost of $ 2,185,262.84 is <br />$ 1,945,734.12. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the bid be awarded to Geuttler & Sons, <br />Inc. in the amount of $ 1,945,734.12. In addition, staff <br />requests the Board's approval for the Chairman to execute <br />the agreements when all requirements are met and approved as <br />to form by the County Attorney. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird to award the bid to Guettler & <br />Sons, Inc., in the amount of $1,945,734.12 for <br />construction of Sandridge Golf CourrseSecond 111811, and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the agreements, <br />as set out in staff's recommendation. <br />.Chairman Eggert noted that this was not a public hearing. <br />County Attorney Charles Vitunac noticed there was a court <br />reporter in attendance and suggested the County's position should <br />be stated for the record. <br />County Administrator Chandler recapped the procedures involved <br />in arriving at this recommendation and felt strongly that it is in <br />the County's best interest to award the bid to Guettler & Sons, <br />Inc. <br />Director of Leisure Services Bob Komarinetz commented from the <br />following memo dated February 12, 1992: <br />42 <br />
