FEB ia 3 <br />ROOK CCi <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, to approve and authorize the <br />Chairman to execute a quotation with ABS Pumps, <br />Inc., for submersible pumps and hardware in the <br />amount of $14,874.00, and two proposals with Tri - <br />County Excavating, Inc., in the total amount of <br />$3,200.00 for installation of said pumps, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Scurlock was aware the County <br />has a specifications book which indicates the kind of pumps and <br />valves and other items that we use and while he was sure ABS Pumps <br />are the best, he felt we should review our requirements to assure <br />economy and efficiency. <br />Chairman Eggert recalled when we were using Myers Pumps we <br />talked about reviewing our requirements. <br />Capital Projects Engineer Bill McCain said we have a test <br />installation of the Myers Pump in the Elders in Touch facility, <br />which is a County -operated pump station, for the purpose of field <br />testing the Myers Pump for its acceptability. Fairbanks -Morris is <br />another pump we are considering using on a test basis, so we do <br />evaluate new products periodically and at their expense. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously. <br />SAID AGREEMENTS ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />EIGHTH STREET WATER MAIN EXTENSION FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND <br />RESOLUTION <br />The Board reviewed memo from Utility Services Director Terry <br />Pinto dated February 7, 1992: <br />
