'ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously approved the <br />Agreement for Traffic Maintenance and Repair with the <br />City of Vero Beach and authorized the Chairman's <br />signature, as recommended by staff. <br />AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />FDOT LOCAL GOVERNMENT COOPERATIVE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - INDIAN RIVER <br />BOULEVARD PHASE IV <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 2/25/92: <br />TO: James E. Thompson, P.E. <br />)C:N1(5 <br />Capital Projects Manager <br />SUBJECT: FDOT Local Government Cooperative Assistance <br />Program - Indian River Boulevard Phase IV <br />DATE: February 25, 1992 FILE: LGCAP.AGN <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is accepting <br />Local Government Cooperative Assistance (LGCA) Program grant <br />applications. Under the LGCA Program, the FDOT funds 50 <br />percent of the projects estimated eligible cost. <br />Staff is of the opinion that the County should apply for <br />funding of Indian River Boulevard Phase IV construction from <br />37th Street to 53rd Street. <br />Attached is a grant application package and resolution <br />requesting matching financial assistance under the LCCA <br />Program. The actual level of funding available in the <br />upcoming fiscal year (beginning July 1) is subject to <br />Legislative appropriation. <br />The Road and Bridge Department will begin clearing and <br />grubbing the Indian River Boulevard right-of-way between <br />37th Street and 53rd Street in March. Construction is <br />schedule to be advertised for bid in July 1992. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />Staff recommends that the Chairman be authorized to execute <br />the attached resolution authorizing the County Administrator <br />and the Budget Director to enter into a LCCA Program <br />memorandum of agreement. <br />Funding is from Indian River Boulevard North. <br />35 <br />BOOK, 8� FwuC.v��. <br />
