BOOK ' F.9,f P'^1 11 <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wheeler, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 92-41, authorizing the County Administrator <br />and the Budget Director to enter into a Local Government <br />Cooperative Assistance Program Memorandum of Agreement <br />and Joint Participation Agreement with the Department of <br />Transportation, as set out in the above staff <br />recommendation. <br />2/24/92(WCrt)TBT(PWD)ree <br />EXHIBIT E <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENT COOPERATIVE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />Application Agency: Indian River County <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92-41 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND THE BUDGET DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENT COOPERATIVE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT <br />AND JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Legislature has created the Local Government <br />Cooperative Assistance Program, Chapter 335.20, Florida Statutes; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, it is a policy of the State of Florida to construct <br />and make improvement to the state transportation system in a <br />cooperative partnership; and, <br />WHEREAS, such partnership shall be promoted and encouraged <br />through the joint funding of projects that improve traffic flow <br />and reduce congestion on the State Highway System; and, <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County desires to receive matching <br />financial assistance for such projects; and, <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County wishes to authorize the County <br />Administrator and the Budget Director to make an application(s) <br />for such projects, enter into a Memorandum of Agreement(s) and, <br />if the proposed projects are selected for funding, <br />into a <br />Joint Participation Agreement with the Stae eofer Florida <br />Department of -Transportation. <br />36 <br />
