O'Brien - Assistant County Attorney -rro <br />February 19, 1992 <br />PUBLIC HEARING 3/10/92 - <br />UPDATE OF STANDARD BUILDING CODE <br />The County has adopted by reference standard technical codes. These <br />codes are updated from time to time. The Building Code Board of <br />Adjustments and Appeals and the Building Division have recommended <br />the adoption of the new editions. To this end, the attached proposed <br />ordinance has been prepared. <br />Staff recommends approval of the proposed ordinance. <br />Building Director Ester Rymer advised the Board that the <br />Building Code Board of Adjustments and Appeals supported the <br />recommendation to upgrade these codes. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. There being none, she closed <br />the public hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 92-06 updating the Standard Technical <br />Codes to ref lect the 1,ateat editions ;and an editorial <br />change, as recommended by staff. <br />ORDINANCE 92- 06 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, UPDATING THE STANDARD <br />TECHNICAL CODES TO REFLECT THE LATEST <br />EDITIONS AND AN EDITORIAL CHANGE. <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County has adopted standard <br />technical codes for its Building Codes; and <br />WHEREAS, these technical codes are updated and new <br />additions issued from time to time; and <br />adopted, <br />WHEREAS, good practice dictates that the latest Code be <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida that: <br />53 <br />T1 1,992 <br />,-, <br />BOOK 0 fAA 1NJ <br />
