AMENDMENT SECTION 401.01 <br />Section 401.01 is hereby amended to reflect the following <br />editions of the Standard Technical Codes. <br />Standard Building Code (SBC) , 1991 Edition <br />Standard Plumbing Code (SPC), 1991 Edition <br />Standard Mechanical Code (SMC), 1991 Edition <br />Standard Gas Code (SGC), 1991 Edition <br />Standard Housing Code (SHC), 1991 Edition <br />Standard Unsafe Buildings Abatement Code <br />(SUBAC) , 1985 Edition <br />National Electrical Code (NEC) , 1990 Edition <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENT SECTION 401.04 <br />Section 401.04 is hereby amended to add the following <br />underlined wording: <br />Section 401.04 Fire prevention codes and standards. <br />Indian River County and the respective fire districts in <br />Indian River County adopt the following codes for the <br />purpose of prescribing rules and regulations governing <br />conditions that could cause a potential hazard to life and <br />property; provided, however, should the State of Florida <br />enact standards which adopt later editions than herein <br />specified, the editions set forth in the Florida Statutes shall <br />annly: <br />SECTION 3. REPEAL <br />Those portions of the Indian River County Code superseded <br />or in conflict with the provisions herein adopted, in particular <br />Chapter 401, are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 4. SEVERABILITY. <br />If any section, or if any sentence, paragraph, phrase, or <br />word of this ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, <br />inoperative, or void, such holding shall not affect the remaining <br />portions of this ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the <br />legislative intent to pass the ordinance without such unconstitutional, <br />invalid or inoperative part. <br />54 <br />
