SECTION 01520 <br />CONSTRUCTION FACILITIES AND TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br />1.1 SCOPE <br />A. Provide all construction equipment and facilities and temporary con rots <br />required to satisfactorily complete the work represented on the Dra ings <br />and described in the Specifications. <br />1.2 RESPONSIBILITY <br />A. All construction facilities and temporary controls remain the prope of the <br />Contractor establishing them and shall be maintained in a safe and useful <br />condition until removed from the construction site. <br />B. All false work, scaffolding, ladders, hoistways, braces, pumps, roa•ways, <br />sheeting, forms, barricades, drains, flumes, and the like, any of whi h may <br />be needed in construction of any part of the work and which are no herein <br />described or specified in detail, must be furnished, maintained and <br />removed by the CONTRACTOR, who is responsible for the safety - nd <br />efficiency of such work and for any damage that may result from the it <br />failure or from their improper construction, maintenance or operatio <br />C. In accepting the Contract, the CONTRACTOR assumes full respon . ibility <br />for the sufficiency and safety of all hoists, cranes, temporary struct res or <br />work and for any damage which may result from their failure or thei <br />improper construction, maintenance or operation and will indemnify and <br />save harmless the OWNER and ENGINEER from all claims, suits •r <br />actions and damages or costs of every description arising by reaso of <br />failure to comply with the above provision. <br />1.3 TEMPORARY UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br />A. TEMPORARY WATER <br />1. Provide a temporary water service as required for all constru tion <br />purposes and pay for all water used. <br />2. Furnish potable drinking water in suitable dispensers and wi h cups <br />for use of all employees at the job. <br />3. Provide all temporary piping, hoses, etc., required to transp•rt <br />water to the point of usage by all trades. <br />4.
