Bair <br />OMB Director <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />The Sod and Water Conservation Department has informed us that the Florida <br />Association of Sod and Water Conservation Districts is recommending that local districts <br />not pay the Special District Fees as the assessment is being protested at the local level. <br />David Gunther, Chairman, Board of Supervisors, Indian River <br />Soil & Water Conservation District, requested $170.00 to pay the <br />Special District Fee to the Department of Community Affairs. He <br />advised that the Board cut this annual fee out of the Indian River <br />Soil & Water Conservation District's 1992 Budget Request. He <br />further informed the Board that the Florida Association of Soil & <br />Water Conservation Districts is recommending that local districts <br />not pay this fee because the assessment is being protested, but he <br />wants the funds available in case the protest fails. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />Budget Amendment 025 to make $170.00 available to <br />pay the Special District Fee for Indian River Soil & <br />Water Conservation District if the protest fails, as <br />recommended by staff. <br />TO: Members of the Board <br />of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Joseph A.
