RR 2 4 <br />USE OF DISTRICT --2 TRAFFIC IMPACT FEE FUNDS FOR CITY OF VERO BEACH <br />FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SOUTH AIA WIDENING <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />The Board reviewed memo from Public Works Director Jim Davis <br />dated March 16, 1992: <br />TO: James E. Davis, P.E., <br />Public Works Director — P <br />SUBJECT: Use of District 2 Traffic Impact Fee Funds for <br />City of Vero Beach/Florida DOT South AlA <br />Widening Improvements <br />REF. LETTER: Stephen J. Maillet, City of Vero Beach <br />Comptroller to James Davis dated Mar. 10, 1992 <br />DATE: March 16, 1992 <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />FILE: AlA.agn <br />The City of Vero Beach is currently managing engineering <br />design activities for the State Road AlA Widening <br />Improvement Project from Banyon Road to Sea Gull Drive. <br />Originally, the project engineering was estimated at <br />approximately $230,000, however, due to additional redesign <br />services, an additional $106,500 is necessary. In the <br />FY1991/92 Capital Road Projects Program, approximately <br />$200,000 was allocated for engineering services for this <br />specific project. The City has expended $325,,952.39 as of <br />Jan. 31, 1992 and the District 2 Traffic Impact Fee Fund has <br />reimbursed the City $230,183.63. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the District 2 Traffic Impact Fee <br />Fund reimburse the City of Vero an additional $95,768.76 at <br />this time for the additional engineering expenses as of Jan. <br />31, 1992 and when design is 100% complete, an additional <br />$10,675.52 reimbursement be made. Funding to be from Fund <br />101-152-541-067.12. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Scurlock, the Board unanimously <br />approved reimbursement of funds from District 2 <br />Traffic Impact Fee Fund to the City of Vero Beach <br />for additional engineering expenses as set out in <br />staff's recommendation. <br />24 <br />
