APR () 7 T99� «ooK [,,,EJSC) <br />REQUEST FOR FUNDING BY TREASURE COAST COUNCIL OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS <br />The Board reviewed the following letter dated 4/7/92: <br />Treasure Coast Council of Local Governments <br />April 7, 1992 <br />Commissioner Margaret Bowman <br />Indian River County Commission <br />1840 25th Street <br />Vero Beach, Florida 32960 <br />Dear Commissioner -Bowman: <br />The Treasure Coast Council of Local Governments is asking each <br />represented entity to contribute fifty dollars ($50.) towards <br />a petty cash fund to be used, at Council's discretion, for <br />postage, awards and other expenses. <br />Mr. Dan Kurek, Public Services Administrator for St. Lucie <br />County will set up and handle the account. The account will <br />be monitored by the Chairman of the Council and no funds ex- <br />pended except by vote of Council. <br />With kindest regards, <br />Caroline D. Ginn <br />Chairman <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved a <br />contribution of $50 to the Treasure Coast Council of <br />Local Governments to be used for mailing expenses. <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE REPORT <br />Commissioner Bird presented the following summary of the <br />meeting of 4/2/92: <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />SUMMARY <br />April 2, 1992 <br />1) RReeguest for $65,000 for Improvements_ toSebastianYacht Club <br />D_o c� <br />ka c'i I i t T e s------------ _____---.-------- <br />The Committee discussed .the request. Inasmuch as there is <br />only $51,000 uncommitted in the Florida Boating Improvement <br />Fund, the committee recommended that $40,000 be allocated <br />for the improvements. <br />73 <br />
